With the spirit of a tailor Dread Decks creates custom one off pieces for individual clients fulfilling their individual needs and specifications. Any of the stitched pieces can be made to order with adjustments to the details, prints and fabrics in order to create the dream piece of clothing personally for you.
You enter into an email conversation regarding your piece. Once the idea is agreed you receive a sketched version of your garment before any production goes a head. Once you are happy and we have the design locked in we go ahead with getting you measured up and begin constructing the piece to your exact dimensions. Once the garment is shelled we fit it to your body to ensure that any changes that need to take place are noted. We then finish construction and have one final fitting, if everything is perfect we then present you with your final finished piece with a hand drawn illustration and certificate of authenticity.

Custom Battle Dress Suit in Glen Check Wool
Happy customer Jake showing off his custom made Battle Dress Suit which he purchased for his graduation ceremony. Jake had seen the Biro Battle Dress suit made for Set Sail A Cowards Tale and requested one to be made in traditional tailoring fabrics, he asked for a dark grey check pattern so we went with a 100% British wool in a Glen check. We went for a light weight wool to ensure that Jake wouldn't be too hot during the ceremony. We included a contrasting inner fabric for the waistband on both the jacket and the trousers the was cut from left over pieces of the Dread Decks illustrated Koi stripe cotton.
Jake when trying on the Biro Battle Dress jacket said he loved it but kept finding himself reaching to put his hands into waist pockets that just weren't there. So when we came to making his, we made sure to include some jetted pockets hidden within the large pleats coming up from the jacket's waistband.
This was a fun one...

Custom Tracksuit in a Navy Cotton Jersey
The handcrafted made to measure navy tracksuit was made under the guidelines of an extremely baggy hoodie and joggers the envelopes the wearer without overwhelming them. We did this by taking Gloria's measurements and adding the perfect amount of excess to the places that would suit her body the most. She wanted extra long sleeves and a solid roll on the trouser legs; we made that happen for her. Despite wanting extra length on the legs we ensured the elasticated waist with and drawstring fit her perfectly.
The tracksuit needed to be basic and simple and yet not boring she didn't want any motifs, print or pattern to be included rather letting the the fabric speak for itself. To make this happen when attaching the cuffs and hood we kept the seam allowance on the outside of the garment. The hood itself we flipped so that the soft fluffy side of the jersey was on the outer of the garment adding texture to the hoodie.
