Doubts And Hesitation

We have all been there, you have a lot of on your plate. There are lots of things that need to get done and you have hit the mental wall. The artists block and the big black dog is hot on your tail! A few knocks and few things don't go to plan and all the shit has piled up in front of you all at the same time. Too many forks in the road and not enough faith in your next step!!!

It is so easy to berate yourself in times like this. You are stuck, sinking and the longer you stay in the same spot the more the pressure builds and your frustrations burn!!! In this situation it is so easy to slip into a cycle of negative self talk. You beat yourself up for the situation, for not being good enough and for being pissed off about being pissed off. Quite frankly you feel fucking pathetic!!!

But my little chicken don't you fucking worry. You have got yourself out of trickier situations than this. You have made better art and solved bigger problems!!! Just remember that age old adage, "INACTION IS THE ENEMY!!!"

Write your problems down. All of them... Get em down on paper and then number them to 1 being critical and 5 being not time sensitive. The things that are out of your control cross them out, they are out of your hands! Order your list most critical to least, commit to item No.1 and then don't look or think about the list until that single task is completed and crossed off!

Hard as it may be, you can do it. Take a breathe, organise your shit and move forward with confidence. Methodically crossing item by item off your list starting with the most critical to the least.

This isn't a once and done type of exercise. This is simply the first step to getting you back on the tracks and the wheels turning. Once you are rolling, it is up to you to schedule in time sensitive check points. Here you can rewrite your list and analyse your progress. Some of your not so critical items may have become more critical so you need to keep an eye on that and keep adjusting as you go.

Don't waste time worrying about wasted time!! Take control and fight for it!!

You can fucking do it!!!!
